Templekim teitelbaum

Temple is a performative musical work that draws, in part, on a passage from Giovanni Boccaccio’s *The Decameron* (1492) concerning the Black Death, interwoven with additional original and appropriated texts. Throughout the performance, the four performers continually transform, emerge, and dissolve, echoing the bodies of those afflicted by the plague. They exist as transient cycles of becoming—ephemeral forms that ripen, decay like flowers, and, for fleeting moments, offer the possibility of solace.

Performed by: Alma Oppenheim Goldshmidt, Amit Jacobi, Sophia Ciccone & Zohar Shafir
Sound: Haim Vitali Cohen
Light: Oded Komemi

kim teitelbaum is an Israeli choreographer, performer, and researcher whose interdisciplinary practice brings together dance, performance, music, text, and visual art. His work explores the body as a site where ideology, ritual, desire, and memory converge, frequently employing transformation, disguise, and performative ambiguity to challenge fixed notions of identity. In dialogue with philosophy, critical theory, and dance studies, his works examine the politics of representation and the ways in which the body is regulated, marginalized, and reimagined. Alongside his artistic practice, he co-led *Working Tools*, an eight-year artistic research project at Kelim Center in collaboration with performers with intellectual and developmental disabilities. His works have been presented at festivals, museums, and independent art spaces throughout Israel.
